Club House News:Sadly, the club has had a small delay on opening due to a minor technicality. We will now open mid-to-late September.
Pre-season News:Our 1st match against Hirwaun RFC saw us take an awesome win against some serious opposition! With a 15-6 Win under our belts already, We are setting our sights high ready for Aberbargoed on 21st August.
Jamie "Ninja" Munkley is going to be unavailable to play until November due to working away. We wish Jamie all the best and look forward to him putting The Phoenix back on when he returns.
END OF SEASON:The end of our first season together has arrived. We were told we couldn't make it, we were told we would get smashed, and beaten, and hammered.........well boys, YOU SHOWED THEM ALL! After a FANTASTIC season, racking up huge wins against teams like Merthyr 2nds, Nelson 2nds, Ynysowen 2nds and finally Gloucester Old Boys 2nds, The Phoenix shone with pride on every mans chest on the field. With excellent coaching staff, extremely skilled players, and the pride of lions, you all showed the doubters WHO treharris Phoenix RFC are, and a glimpse of things to come! Well done Treharris Phoenix RFC!!We would all like to extend our greatest gratitude to Barry " Badger " Morgan for his dedication to the team. He knew that every single man on the field can take Treharris Phoenix from pub team to the talk of the valley, and along with Phil John and Terry Parry's coaching skills, we have been set on a road that will lead us to new heights! Thank You Barry, Phil and Terry. Also we would like to thank the people behind the scenes. Thank You Garry Morris, Mark Bridges and anyone else that has helped to fetch Treharris back to the Rugby world. Last but not least, Thank You people of Treharris. Your support on the sidelines has brought alot, not just to the team, but to the villiage! Your support of the players on and off the field has inspired them to play with pride and passion. Please, keep the support up through the upcoming seasons and help take Treharris Phoenix RFC to the top.Player News:Mark Roberts Has Suffered damaged ligaments in his shoulder and will be unable to play the first few matches of the season. We wish mark a speedy recovery, ready to help us dominate on the field as soon as possible.Stephen Hopkins has injured his back during a training session. Stephen is set to return early in the season and we look forward to seeing him recover.
